AFFILIATES

1. You need to know what is an affiliate. Affiliates in internet marketing terms are people who works for a merchant (companies/ individuals) to promote their product and get paid for it.

2. Choose affiliate programs which only ask you to sign up for free. Once you have become an affiliate, get other people to do the same. Now, for everyone you refer or invite and confirm joining you will get commission.

3. To advertise the merchant product or website you need to log in your affiliate account and get the advertising tools. It will consist of texts, banners or links.

4. You will need to get the codes for any of those advertising tools. Once you get the code which is usually in html, just copy and paste it to your website. You can even email your friends to join but remember the text link (merchant site) must be the genuine one.

5. Why? Because the code provided have your data in it, so that your merchant is able to monitor which affiliates responsible for referring another person or a potential buyer. Easy for them to give commission.

6. You will get paid monthly or depends on your merchant agreement. Usually they will pay you using pay pal account. To open a pay pal account, required you to have a credit card (search for pay pal for more info). Don't panic if you don't have any, there are other options.

7. If you don't have a credit card, you can ask the merchant to pay using your bank account, wire transfer or the best way, send you a cheque.

8. Make sure you sign up with a merchant which are giving you options on modes of payment. It is much easier for you. Make sure you update your affiliate account to choose the mode of payment.

DON'T HAVE A WEBSITE?

Free websites are always available. All you need to do is sign up with one and start making your own. The web hosting (owner of those free website) will show you how to do it. Use a search engine and find free webs site and use one.

DON'T HAVE A HUGE MAILING LIST?

1. If you prefer to market your merchant product or website through email, you must have a huge mailing list (email address of other people). But that is not really true. From a few friends you can still generate income if the affiliate you have referred get other people to join the program.

2. One of the way to get email address is through chat groups, join community or other groups like yahoo.

HOW DO I ADVERTISE?

Search for free advertisement or free classified and post your ads there. you can also use goggle adsense and get paid for it.
